I bought this Ninja air fryer about three weeks ago, and I can honestly say I am really happy with it. Before this, I had another air fryer that stopped working in just seven months. The motor became weak, and it didn't even turn on. The experience was frustrating, so I was a bit unsure at first, but this one has been completely different.
Condition and value:
I actually purchased this as a refurbished unit, and I was pleasantly surprised it arrived in like-new condition with all instructions, lids, and accessories included. Everything was clean, complete, and working perfectly, which made it feel like a great value for the price.
Performance and efficiency:
From the first use, I could see the difference. It heats up quickly in 2 minutes, and the food comes out perfectly crispy within 12 minutes while using very little oil. I have almost stopped using my big oven because it consumes a lot of electricity. This air fryer feels more efficient, faster, and much easier to manage. I have been making a variety of dishes like masala peanuts, potato wedges, crispy french fries, crispy chicken, and bread pizza, vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower crispy pakoda, crispy chickpeas, crispy white peas, crispy green peas, samosas and fish fries.
Everything turns out so good and evenly cooked. On busy or lazy days, I can quickly make something from frozen items like fries in just a few minutes, and the crispiness is always satisfying.
The hero feature, the glass container / material :
The glass container is truly the hero of this product. Being able to see the food while it is cooking gives me so much confidence. I don't have to keep opening it for guessing. It feels safer, cleaner, and more convenient compared to my previous air fryer with the standard basket. the material and the power cod is little heavy but worth it.
Health and savings:
Most importantly, it is helping me to stay consistent with my weight loss journey by making healthier, home-cooked food easier to prepare. I have also realized the cost savings. Even buying fries outside 20 times a year would cost over $150, but with this, I can make so many dishes at home for much less.
Maintenance:
Cleaning is very convenient. I just put the trays in the dishwasher and it saves me time and effort.
Final thought:
This has become part of my daily routine and even as a refurbished purchase, it was absolutely worth it. I have attached a video of my bread pizza and chana dal vada to show the results. Love this air fryer! I had a bigger one but didn't use it much because it was a beast to clean and store. this has a great glass dish and the insert is ceramic coated instead of nonstick. The glass makes it easy to monitor your food without opening the fryer. Nice. Super easy to clean. It takes up half the storage room in closet compared to my other one. I like that. I also like that I can just take what I cooked to the table. It was a little bit of a learning curve after my other one but the internet is chocked full of Ninja Crispi recipes for references. I liked it so much I gifted one to a friend!
I absolutely LOVE this air fryer. It’s a breeze to clean (all parts except the power pad are dishwasher safe & come out sparkling. The hottest cycle chars one side of a 1” ribeye in 10 minutes; if you like medium rare be sure to flip your steak at 7 minutes. Thicker steak (1 1/2”) is perfect at 10 min on one side and 5 min on the other. I recommend cooking any veggies in a separate cycle while the steak is resting, because they tend to emit so much steam. But I made some killer quesadillas in it!
My 1st Air Fryer and I so wanted to like it. It started off very well, and I was impressed with everything about my Ninja Crispi. Yes, I had bought a Refurbished Model, but I just wanted to try out the concept, and if I liked it I would by a better version. Initially I bought the air fryer to cook chicken for my senior dog, and it worked perfectly. I would cook the food, rinse out all the dishes, then put them in the dishwasher. After the 5th use, however, I noticed that 1 of the screws in the Lid Adapter was missing. I looked everywhere but could not find it. I assumed it had come off in the dishwasher, but then what if it had come off in the food I was cooking. The Screw looks like a self-tapping wood screw, about 7mm long, and pointed at one end. It was Tamper Proof but manage to fall out all on it's own. There was no method of keeping the screw in place, and no cover stop it falling into the food. This is probably the worst design anyone could have come up with, as if not found, the Screw could easily be swallowed by anyone eating the food. This product needs to immediately be removed from sale, and a Recall issued. This is in no way an acceptable fixing solution for a food product. Even though I bought the extended warranty I do not want this product in my house. Ninja's Design Department need to get their stuff together before someone chokes on this Screw and files another Lawsuit against them, which is what I would be doing if my dog had swallowed the Screw.
